2. Note: If Ultraleecher was downloaded from our website only add server nicknames and skip to step 3.
Click New on the server control pane. This will open up a server setup dialogue box. The server nickname is whatever you want to name the server. In the Server Address box you will need to add the addresses of our servers (e.g.: news.usenet.com). The port should be 119. The connections should be set to 10. Then place a checkmark in the ‘the server requires login’ checkbox. Type your username and password for our service in these boxes. |
| 3. To get the group list go to the tab labeled server control. Select the server that you want to get groups from. Then in the right pane you will select ‘subscribe’. This will change the menu bar. Then you will select ‘fetch groups’. This will take a couple minutes. When this is done you will be able to see all the groups. If you can’t see them, click 'subscribe' again. This should bring up the whole list. Then you will find the group that you wish to subscribe to and right click and select subscribe. Note: You may have to click the 'all groups' button to view all the groups instead of just binaries. |
| 4. To view the posts in a group go to the group control tab. Then select the group that you want to view posts in on the left side. There are several ways to filter the posts. First you can check to look for any combination of incomplete files, Binary files, Text files, previously downloaded files, old posts, and filenames. Second you can filter by the size of the file. Third there is an enhanced filter that will allow you to look at just pictures, no pictures, just NZB files, or just NFO files. Finally, you can filter to include or exclude any file that has the text that you type. |
